Employee Engagement and Wellness

HR Professionals involved with employee engagement and wellness directly impact employee morale, satisfaction, and productivity. Professionals in this role will craft engagement strategies aimed at improving the employee’s view of the company and reducing the likelihood an employee will leave the organization. Common examples of engagement strategies include company parties or happy hours, peer rewards programs, community service days, encouraging new forms of responsibility, or lunch with the company’s leadership team.

An engagement and wellness manager might also be responsible for designing a wellness program for employees. Part of employee morale centers on a healthy work-life balance and good health in general. Professionals in this area of human resources might develop programs that encourage wellness and balance and might consider rewarding employees who participate in the program.
